What is NDR and why is it important?

Modified on Tue, 27 Jun, 2023 at 2:19 PM

NDR, which stands for Non-Delivery Report, provides information about orders that were not successfully delivered along with the corresponding reasons for their non-delivery. This feature is particularly useful for sellers, as it allows them to take appropriate actions based on the NDR information.

When an order falls under the NDR category, it means that the delivery was unsuccessful for some reason. By accessing the NDR details, sellers can review the specific reasons why these orders were not delivered. The provided reasons may include factors such as incorrect address, recipient unavailability, or any other relevant delivery-related issues.

With the NDR information at hand, sellers have the opportunity to determine the next steps for these undelivered orders. Depending on the situation, they can choose to request a reattempt for delivery, where the logistics provider will make another effort to deliver the order successfully. Alternatively, if it is determined that the order cannot be delivered despite repeated attempts, the seller may opt for RTO (Return to Origin).
