Entered Weight: It is the weight that you enter in the shipping panel while processing the shipment.

Volumetric Weight: It is weight calculated based on the dimensions (L, B, H) entered for the shipment. This weight is calculated using the formula(LxBxH)/5000 (for most of our courier partners) which measures the amount of space that the shipment will take in the carrier. The base factor to calculate the volumetric weight might vary for different courier partners.

Applied Weight: It is higher of two weights i.e. entered and volumetric weight for a shipment, based on which the shipping charges are calculated.

Charged Weight: The weight for which your shipments are charged by the courier company is the charged weight.

What is weight discrepancy and when does it occur?

A shipment weight discrepancy occurs when the weight based on which the courier levies the shipment charges do not match with the applied weight of the shipment. A weight discrepancy is raised in the panel automatically. However, if you do not agree with the weight charged by the courier we let you raise a dispute within 7 days after the discrepancy is raised.
