How to provide access to various sections of WMS to different users?

The access to various sections of WMS can be provided to a user by assigning certain “roles” to them. This can be done through selecting the role of the user either at the time of creating a new user or by updating their role.


To proceed with this task, it is necessary to create roles within the system, and the steps for accomplishing this task are outlined below.

Step 1: Go to the “Settings” tab present at the top and select “Roles” as shown in the figure given below.


Step 2: The following screen will appear showing a list of all the roles and their description. Click on the “Add Role” button.

Step 3: The following screen appears. Fill both the fields and click on “Create Role” button to create a new role.

Now, the next step involves determining the levels of access that should be granted to these roles within various sections of the WMS. The steps for this process are outlined as follows


Step 1: Under the "Actions" section corresponding to a role, select the pencil icon to edit the access levels.


Step 2: A following screen appears, tick the appropriate boxes as per the access to be provided. After making the necessary changes, click the "Save" button for each of the sections.
